During the Covid-19 pandemic, Ykids opened a local pantry with the help and support of St Andrew’s Community Network, Fareshare UK, Foodbank and Jamie Carragher’s 23 Foundation.

Families whose childen are members of Ykids can pay £3.50 per week and take away over £20 worth of shopping from our store, including fresh fruit and vegetables and meat from the local butchers.

Watch “What Parents Really Think Of Ykids HERE

Ykids works alongside families in different ways, from accessing support from other agencies, to peer mentoring and peer support groups and projects for the whole family to attend. Check out our three aims below.

“I feel valued & supported through Ykids Families Project.” – Parent

Emotional resilience is the ability to cope with whatever life throws at you

A positive mindset means you have aspirations and feel good about the future

Gaining skills gives people confidence to lead and pursue new experiences

Ykids works with children and young people and their families; developing individuals who can cope with whatever life throws at them, have plans and hopes for their future and the skills to make their dreams a reality.
